NEW SHETLAND YARN ADDED TO OUR COLLECTION Yarns International is proud to add a new yarn to our collection. We are now carrying Jamieson and Smith’s entire line of 2-ply jumper weight dyed yarns. These will complement the traditional, natural colors of Shetland Supreme and open a whole new world of color! We have been working with this yarn all summer and really like it. It is guaranteed to be 100% native Shetland wool. It can be used in any pattern that calls for 2-ply jumper weight yarn (knits at 7-8 stitches per inch). This wool is perfect for inspiring your own designs. It comes in beautiful colors and it is easy to make pleasing substitutions for other yarns. Click here to view colors. There are many sources for patterns to use with this yarn from books such as Sweaters from Camp, The Art of Fair Isle Knitting and Northern Knits. In addition we will be carrying patterns and the book Knits from the Northern Seas. We have posted substitutions for the colors in the Jamieson line on our website.
